Daniel at play

Cool Dude Daniel at play - inside (in his pjs) and outside in the garden!

Not much to say at present, except looking forward to our 21wk ultrasound on Wednesday afternoon at 4.30pm! More news once that has happened :)

Vegemite and U2

Our friends and fellow Aussies, Dave & Jackie, kindly donated Daniel their last tube of Vegemite. Yesterday's lunch was a speedy affair as he gobble down not one, but almost two sandwiches! He was a hungry little vegemite, and it is by far his favourite spread. I was running out of ideas (besides honey) as he isn't a huge fan of strawberry jam, and we've decided to remove cream cheese for his diet for a while.

He loves animals, and his favourites at the moment are dogs and ducks. He tries to say duck :)
I reckon he knows about a dozen animal noises currently.

This Wednesday Nathan is going to the U2 concert. Vancouver is the last show on the tour, and the only one in NorthWest America, so should be huge. He and some friends from Regent will be lining up from around 9am (6.30pm start) with their vocab cards and books to read, and someone has offered to come around later in the day and pick up their 'stuff' before the gates open. They are in the general standing area, and hoping to get fairly close to the stage.

Nathan is also starting some TA work for intro Greek next week for 4 or 5 weeks, trying to squish that into his schedule! It is an honour to be asked, and we'll appreciate the extra income.

Street view on Google maps

Earlier this year Daniel & I were taking a walk when the Google street view car was taking pictures of Vancouver.

Here we are!

First belly pic

I thought since I'm four months along I should post a 'belly' shot. This bub has decided to squash my insides rather than grow outwards too much at the moment, but that will come! Depending on the clothes I wear, most people seem surprised when I say I'm pregnant ("you don't look it!").
I've been feeling some definite kicks this week, even when I'm walking around, so that's good news. Had my latest check-up with the midwives last week which went well, and will start measuring my belly from the next visit which will be in mid-Nov. Feeling good the majority of the time, although I am definitely struggling on the memory front. I burned porridge so bad this week that we had to throw out the pot! (That happened when I was pregnant with Daniel too, except there was oil in the pot which caught fire. ) And I left the fry pan turned on with the last pancake in it, so they were tossed too. At least we didn't loose the fry pan! I'm sure there's something I should be doing right now, so that will be all for now!

Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving Day we drove with our friends Mark & Angela to AppleBarn at Abbotsford, about an hour away. We met up with a load of friends there, but mostly did our own thing. Below are some photos that Mark took during the day. (No apple photos though, as I think pumpkins are much more photogenic and autumnal!)

Daddy & Daniel on the pumpkin pick-up truck (ie ute).

I love this one! "Insert caption here"

Trying to roll the pumpkins.

Check out his beenie! it's a cross between a beenie and ear muffs I think. Nathan was embarrassed ;)

The wind stopped blowing so fiercely, and the sun came out, so off with the hat and coat. Daniel is always trying to lift things that are bigger and heavier than you'd think would be possible!

Hay ride back from the pumpkin field. Pumpkins in tow. (Ours cost $3. Looking forward to pumpkin carving for the first time in 1 1/2 weeks).

Fall Photos

Get ready, to wiggle, we've been waiting for so long....

Lucy, Lissa & Ella joined us for The Wiggles concert. Not a lot of dancing from Daniel, but once he saw that big red car, he knew who we were watching! Wags is a favourite at the moment.

Daddy & Daniel playing in the leaves.

It's raining leaves??

Leaves in my hair :-S

Watching Daniel play in the playground behind our house. Love the colours of autumn leaves!

Peek-a-boo!
