Flights booked

Our flights are now booked!
We'll be leaving Brisbane on Sunday 19th August at 10am, with a stopover in Taipei from 5pm til 2pm on Monday, arriving in Vancouver about 9.30 Monday morning.

a minor update

Well, things are better at the home front, with the tiling almost complete! (To be finished this weekend)
On Good Friday, I (Mareesa) sent numerous emails to the friendly Housing Supervisor trying to get our credit card number right...but a couple of mins before 5pm Vancouver time (which was Thursday for them) we got an email back saying that our deposit went through satisfactorily, so we definitely have a place from 1st September!
Next is a BC teaching certificate, plane tickets, and visa applications =)

Accommodation by exclusion

Well, the self-imposed deadline came and went, and St Andrew's has been decided on.
I (Mareesa) will be faxing off our application today or tomorrow. The tenancy goes from 1 September to 30 April, and hopefully we'll learn lots from our cosy living quarters =)
The bathroom now has walls!!! (This is really important - no more 360 degree views)
Nathan is taking off Thursday to do as much as he can.
We're spending the weekend away from the mess/house - going to AGMF in toowoomba on Saturday with Nathan's sister Ellen, and then camping in the Bunya mountains Sunday - Tuesday (another day off work for Nathan and holidays for Mareesa).
